Discounts and Grants

The are a variety of schemes that some people with bleeding disorders can apply for to get discounts on services or claim a grant for you or your family.  The schemes below have been suggested by our members.  If you know of a scheme which isn’t listed here then please let us know.

The CEA Card

CinemaThe CEA Card allows you to obtain a free ticket for the person who is accompanying you to enable you to visit the cinema, by providing the assistance you require as a result of your disability, provided you purchase an applicable full price ticket for yourself for the same performance of the same film in the same auditorium.

You can find if there is a cinema near you which takes part in the scheme and apply for your card online.

Family Fund, Take a Break

Family HolidayTake a Break grants enable families caring for a disabled or seriously ill child or young person to have the opportunity to choose how they would like to take a break, with a view to improving the quality of life, health and wellbeing of the whole family.

Merlin’s Magic Wand

Lego FamilyMerlin’s Magic Wand is a worldwide charity for children. They arrange magical days out at Merlin Entertainments attractions, such as LEGOLAND Resorts®, SEA LIFE Centres and Madame Tussauds.

Turn2Us

Social-card-pic-1200x628Turn2Us is a search engine which locates available grants that you may be eligible for. Many charities offer non-repayable grants to help individuals on low incomes.
To be eligible you have to meet their particular rules.
These may be based on your location,  age, gender, current or past jobs or health condition.
