We are delighted to welcome Nikki to the Board

We are delighted to report that we’ve been able to strengthen our Board by co-opting Nikki Gandy.  As we continue to grow it is vital that the Board has the wide range of skills and experience we need.  We are keen to recruit further trustees, especially from within the bleeding disorders community, so please get in touch if you’d like to find out more.

Nikki says

I’m honoured to be joining the Board of Trustees at Haemophilia Scotland and must begin by saying a huge thank you for the very warm welcome I’ve received so far. It’s a pleasure to join such a dedicated and hardworking team within this vibrant organisation and I’m looking forward to being involved in all of the varied activities that we have planned for the year ahead!

With a background in marketing and fundraising, I’m obviously very keen to develop the public awareness of Haemophilia Scotland and the fantastic work that is done every day to support the community in Scotland. My motivation is fundamentally to assist in the overall growth of the organisation however I can, so we can continue to provide vital information, advocacy and support. Certainly now with so many inspirational young members of the society, I’m sure this will be a fun and exciting journey and I can’t wait to meet you all soon and hear your ideas.

Aside from working as a full time Senior Fundraiser for a large Scottish charity, I’m a keen distance runner and I can often be spotted trotting around the pavements of Edinburgh. So, I think I’ll have to get myself signed up for a Marathon very soon so I can start some fundraising for Haemophilia Scotland and do my bit to raise awareness of this fantastic organisation that I am so proud to be a part of!

Thank you again for the warmest of welcomes and I look forward to meeting many of you in the near future.
