Here are some Bleeding Disorder Books on World Book Day
Today is World Book Day so as well as enjoying all the photography of children with bleeding disorders going to school dressed as their favourite characters we thought we should take the chance to highlight some useful books.
Laureen A. Kelley is a mum in a Haemophilia family in America. She founded LA Kelley Communications to produce information specifically for people with bleeding disorders. They produce a wide range of very professional publications and books.
You can order copies of the books on the LA Kelley website.
This is the true story of a family who adopted a baby girl, Ros, with von Willenbrand Disease. It covers their journey to understand the condition and how they survived the contaminated blood disaster together.
“This really was a case of not being able to put a book down. It is moving, lucid, very easy to read and with a strong appeal. Anyone who reads it must very early on feel great sympathy for you and even more for Ros who comes across as brave and resolute.” Ruth Rendell
