Haemophilia Scotland extends a huge congratulations to Nancy Brodie, Operational Manager of the Haemophilia Unit at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary, on approaching her retirement! Nancy’s last day in post will be Wednesday 30th September and will be succeeded by Helen Baird.
Her team at the GRI say “Nancy will always be remembered as the hard working, committed and friendly person. A definite example to look for and follow.”
Outside of work, Nancy has advocated for and supported the bleeding disorders community in her capacity as a trustee of Haemophilia Scotland, when she was elected in May 2017. Nancy was involved in organising the Women’s Booth at the 2018 World Federation of Haemophilia Congress in Glasgow and Haemophilia Scotland’s Women’s Conference in Stirling in 2019. She did not stand for re-election at the most recent AGM.
Anyone that has worked with Nancy would agree that she has a zest for people and wanting the best for them. This is apparent with her selfless work ethic and involvement with Haemophilia Scotland.
Thank you, Nancy, for your dedication and service in your work capacity and as a trustee! It’s been a privilege and an honour. We wish you all the very best upon your retirement!
If you have a congratulatory message for Nancy, make sure you get it in to her before her last day on 30th September. Otherwise, feel free to pass your message onto Alex who will ensure Nancy receives it in time.
