Coronavirus Carer’s Allowance Supplement

The Scottish Government is making an extra Carer’s Allowance Supplement payment of £230.10. This is on top of the usual June payment. This is a one-off payment to provide some more support for carers during coronavirus.

How to get the extra payment

You do not need to apply for this extra payment. To be able to get it you must have been:

  • getting Carer’s Allowance on 13 April 2020
  • living in Scotland on 13 April 2020

If you’re eligible for this payment, Social Security Scotland will automatically pay it into the same account that you get your Carer’s Allowance.
