On Saturday the 14th of July, Haemophilia Scotland hosted a Family Day at Landmark Forest Adventure Park up north in Carrbridge.
Thanks to everyone who turned up! It was great to see old faces and some new ones too. We hope everyone felt welcome and we look forward to seeing you at our future events.
We had 13 families present with a good mix between young and old. I brought along a couple of fun, educational boardgames about haemophilia which were played over lunch. If you are interested in a boardgame about haemophilia for the family, please let me know and I can arrange to send one out to you.
Following lunch, we spent the afternoon roaming around the park and trying out everything. There was something for everyone! Waterslides, rollercoasters, a high ropes course, a butterfly house, a nature trail…it was an afternoon jam-packed full of fun!
Thanks to the team at Landmark for being so accommodating on the day and for their help and support in organising this event.
We try to get around Scotland for our events to make them as accessible as possible to everyone. If you have any ideas for events in your area that you think we could do, please let me know and I’ll be happy to look into it.
