Bleeds into joints

Bleeding Disorders, such as Haemophilia, can cause extremely painful bleeds into soft tissue and joints.

The video below explains how a healthy knee functions and then shows how a bleed can permanently damage a it.  It can be useful to understand just what is going on when there is a bleed in a joint like a knee.

The key messages from the video are that if you feel something you should do something, the key to reducing damage is to treat early.  It also suggests that the best place for detailed clinical information or help is your Haemophilia Centre.
