Today, September 5th, 2019, is International Charity Day!

“The International Day of Charity was established with the objective of sensitizing and mobilizing people, NGOs, and stakeholders all around the world to to help others through volunteer and philanthropic activities.

The date of 5 September was chosen in order to commemorate the anniversary of the passing away of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 “for work undertaken in the struggle to overcome poverty and distress, which also constitute a threat to peace.”1

Through our aims to support, inform, and advocate, we contribute to global sustainable development by building resilience through community action, and enhancing the sense of responsibility for our community.

We rely on support from you, our members, and would not be in existence if it wasn’t for our volunteers and people who have contributed their time, energy and money to support the work we do. Thank you!
