Richard Lyle MSP is very kindly hosting a joint reception for us and The Hepatitis C Trust this Wednesday (10th Dec 2014).
Lots of people affected by the contaminated blood disaster in Scotland are attending and we are hoping MSPs will take the chance to come and talk to them and hear about their experiences.
Despite being told that the Final Report would be published by the end of the autumn, subject to the completion of the warning letter process, we are now well into December, the snow has settled on the Scottish hills, and the report has still has not been published.
The Penrose Inquiry is, at least in part, the result of the Scottish Parliament taking an active interest in the contaminated blood disaster. We think MSPs should be as frustrated as we are that the Report is late. That is why we need as many of them as possible to attend the reception. If you haven’t already done so please use www.writetothem.com to contact your local MSPs let them know why it is important to you that they come along. All MSPs have received and invitation from us but they are much more likely to attend if they know that it is important to you
