Bleeding Disorders Ambassadors

Telling people about your experiences with a bleeding disorder doesn't have to be scary
Telling people about your experiences with a bleeding disorder doesn’t have to be scary

Everyone agrees that if more people understood about what it means to have a bleeding disorders life would be a lot simpler.

We know that many of our members have been involved in awareness raising for many years.  Sometimes that it talking to doctors in training and sometimes it means talking to a school or a local group.  In fact there are hundreds of opportunities to speak to people about the impact a bleeding disorder can have.  However, what all of these opportunities have in common are that they involve speaking in public about what can be quite personal and emotional experiences.

Often in the past the people who have done this sort of the work for the bleeding disorders community have had to train themselves and have rarely got the thanks they deserve.  We would like to change that.  We are looking for anyone in Scotland who is interested in improving their communications skills and using them to get out there and let people know what living with a bleeding disorder is all about.  From time to time there are also big opportunities to take part in global patient programmes too.

If this sounds like something you are interested in getting involved in please fill out the short form below and we’ll be in touch soon.

We ask about treatment products so we can work out who might be interested in similar initiatives run by pharmaceutical companies.  At the moment, for example, Baxter are running a Global Ambassador Program.
