Today is International Women’s Day!
The theme for this year is “Balance for Better.” A balanced world is a better world. How can you help forge a more gender-balanced world?
Celebrate women’s achievement. Raise awareness against bias. Take action for equality.
Haemophilia Scotland hosted the women’s booth at the 2018 WFH Congress, which was only the second time a women’s booth had been hosted at the Congress. For years, women affected by a bleeding disorder were often overlooked as it’s been historically perceived as something that only affects men.
We’re seeing change but we need to be proactive and not get complacent. Old assumptions can take time to break down so raising awareness that bleeding disorders can affect women is an important part of our work.
Haemophilia Scotland is hosting a Women’s Conference on May 18th in Stirling and is inviting women affected by a bleeding disorder to join us for this day conference. You can register to attend the conference at the Eventbrite link here.
