At Haemophilia Scotland we want to be the best charity we can be for individuals and families with bleeding disorders in Scotland. To do that we know we must have a strong board of trustees listening to our community, setting our strategy, and making sure the charity is well governed. That is why our AGM and trustees elections are so important.
We are now facing huge challenges. Not only from COVID-19 but we must adapt to new treatments, new welfare benefits in Scotland, a challenging fund-raising environment, renew our strategic plan, and make the best use of Infected Blood Inquiry.
We are writing and emailing all our members to invite you to attend our first totally online AGM at 2pm on Sat 22 August. You can find out more about this free event on our new AGM pages. We need as many members to join us as possible so please don’t delay and register today.
We are also asking members to nominate themselves to become a trustee of Haemophilia Scotland. Any member can apply and we there are up to four vacancies to fill. We would welcome nominations from any of our members but would particularly encourage you to apply if you are under 40 years old and/or live with children with a bleeding disorder as these are areas where we would particularly like to add to the experience of the Board.
You can nominate yourself by following the link below and completing the short from before the 31 July.
