At Haemophilia Scotland, our mission is to support individuals and families affected by bleeding disorders across Scotland. As a small, dedicated charity, we rely on the passion and commitment of volunteers to make a real difference in the lives of our members. Volunteer Roles Available

Volunteer Community Fundraisers

Use your creativity and enthusiasm to plan local events, campaigns, and challenges that raise much-needed funds to support people living with bleeding disorders in Scotland. Read the Role Description Here.

Volunteer Content Creators

If you have a passion for storytelling, photography, video production, or social media, this role is perfect for you. Help us share the stories of individuals affected by bleeding disorders, promote our events and campaigns, and create engaging content that raises awareness of our work. Volunteer Events Assistants

Get involved in our exciting events, from fundraising challenges to support groups, by helping with logistics, planning, or simply lending a hand on the day. Events are a big part of what we do, and your support ensures they’re a success. Read the Role Description Here.

Governance

All of the members of the Haemophilia Scotland Board of Trustees are volunteers.  They are responsible for the charity’s governance and strategy, and for making sure that the charity is administered effectively. Trustees are elected by our members at our AGM, with four positions elected every year.  The board can also appoint trustees between AGMs but anyone coopted in this way would be asked to stand for election at the next AGM if they wished to continue. If you’d like to put yourself forward as a trustee please complete the Trustees Nomination Form.

Volunteer Member Supporters

Offer a listening ear and guidance to individuals and families affected by bleeding disorders, helping them access the support and services they need. This is a great role for someone who’s empathetic and enjoys connecting with people. Read the Role Description Here.

Volunteer Office Administrators

Help keep our operations running smoothly by assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks, supporting our events, and ensuring we’re organised to deliver the best services possible. Read the Role Description Here.

Volunteer Patient Representatives

As a patient representative, you’ll advocate for individuals with bleeding disorders, ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes. You’ll attend meetings, represent the needs and concerns of patients, and contribute to the improvement of healthcare services and policies that affect our community. Read the Role Description Here.
