Infected Blood in Scotland: What Happens Now?

Haemophilia Scotland and the Scottish Infected Blood Forum warmly invite everyone across Scotland who have been affected by or infected with hepatitis C, hepatitis B or HIV through blood products or transfusions to join us at our upcoming joint meeting in January.

Once more we would ask you to bring your thoughts and views on the following: –

  • Update on amendment added to Victims and Prisoners Bill regarding compensation .
  • Latest update on publication of the Inquiry final report, expected in March 2024.
  • Update on Scottish Government views and preparation for Inquiry recommendations.

We have extended an invitation to Lisa Summers, BBC Scotland’s Health and Social Care correspondent, to attend this meeting. Our undertaking with Lisa is that nothing said will be reported. Her attendance is solely to help her understand the issues so that these can be accurately reflected in future reporting. There will not be any photography of the meeting.

We very much look forward to seeing you all there but for those unable to attend in person, the meeting will be once more live on Zoom.

Login details will be emailed out a few days in advance.
