This week is Trustees’ Week

When people think of charities, they often picture the staff, volunteers, or the families we support. But behind the scenes, there’s another group quietly shaping the direction of everything we do: our Trustees.

Trustees aren’t just names on a page. They are parents, carers, professionals, and advocates who bring their lived experience and expertise to the table. They ask the tough questions, make sure we stay accountable, and help us plan for the future.

Being a Trustee is about more than attending meetings. It’s about carrying the responsibility of ensuring our community’s voice is heard, that resources are used wisely, and that we never lose sight of why we exist: to support, inform and advocate for our Scottish bleeding disorders community.

This Trustees’ Week, we want to celebrate the wonderful individuals who give their time and energy to this role. Their leadership and commitment don’t always make headlines, but they make all the difference.
