As part of our Annual General meeting on Saturday, 30th August 2025 at Edinburgh Zoo, we are seeking nominations from existing members of the charity to volunteer for the role of charity trustee. We anticipate that there will be at least two vacancies arising.
The positions would typically involve election to our Trustee Board for 3 years and require a time commitment normally of around 2-3 hours per month. These are non-executive, unpaid roles, where you will engage closely with our paid staff in developing ideas and giving advice. As a National charity, many of our meetings are conducted remotely. You will share with other trustees overall responsibility for the good governance of the charity and in promoting our work.
We wish to add to the board’s existing skill set and at this time we would particularly welcome interest from those with experience of one or more of:
- Women with bleeding disorders
- Those with Von Willebrands disorder
- Parents of children with a bleeding disorder
- Clinical practice in the field of bleeding disorders
- Knowledge of charity law and governance
- Effective implementation of equalities practices
- Human Resources policy and practice
