Members of the infected blood community from across the UK will shortly be travelling to London to attend the Service of Recognition, Remembrance and Reflection being held tomorrow (19th May 2026) at St Paul’s Cathedral.
To help everyone arrive safely and smoothly on the day, organisers have shared the following important arrival and entry information for attendees.
Further information about the service is available on the UK Government website:

Arrival and Entry Information
To ensure everyone enters the Cathedral safely and efficiently, attendees are asked to follow the procedures below:
- All attendees should enter the Cathedral grounds via Paternoster Square.
- If you wish to avoid being filmed, please avoid approaching through St Paul’s Churchyard when making your way to Paternoster Square.
- Please have your Eventbrite QR ticket ready on arrival, either on your phone or printed out. Tickets will be scanned at the barriers in Paternoster Square.
- After ticket scanning, St Paul’s Cathedral security staff will carry out a light bag search using visual checks and scanning wands.
- Please note that large items of luggage are not permitted.
- Once through the barriers, attendees should proceed to the West Entrance (the main front steps).
- Anyone with accessibility needs, or those wishing to use the No-Filming Zone, should instead head to the North Transept entrance.
Before You Travel
We would encourage everyone attending to:
- Allow extra time for travel and entry procedures.
- Ensure phones are charged if using digital QR tickets.
- Bring only essential bags or belongings where possible.
- Check travel arrangements in advance, particularly if travelling by train or underground in London.
Haemophilia Scotland hopes all members travelling to the service have a safe journey and meaningful day of remembrance and reflection. Our Director will also be attending the service and will be there to support Haemophilia Scotland members throughout the day.
