We are pleased to share that a new exhibit and case study about the infected blood disaster in Scotland will be added this month to the permanent public exhibition at the Scottish Parliament.
Developed by the Scottish Parliament with input and contributions from members of Haemophilia Scotland and the Scottish Infected Blood Forum, this exhibit ensures that the experiences of those infected and affected are recognised and remembered as part of Scotland’s history.
The interactive display will join the permanent collection located in the main reception hallway of the Parliament building, accessible to everyone who visits or works within the building.
To mark the addition of the new exhibit, the Scottish Parliament is hosting a dedicated viewing session on Friday 21 November, from 9.00am to 11.00am. During this time, the building will be open exclusively to infected and affected individuals, providing a private and reflective space to view the display.
The exhibit will remain on long-term public display as part of the Parliament’s wider exhibition, so there will be future opportunities for self-guided visits if you are unable to attend on this date.
If you would like to attend the special viewing on Friday 21 November, please register your interest by Friday 14 November by emailing the Scottish Parliament Events Team at rsvpevents@parliament.scot
