Our Voices, Our Space: Young Women Leading The Conversation

Report written by our Advocacy Support Worker, Ruth Bidoni.

Carolyn, Maxie and I had the opportunity to attend the Scottish Women’s Convention in Glasgow on Saturday 24 October, building on our ongoing commitment to raising awareness of bleeding disorders in women and girls.

This was the organisation’s first conference specifically for young women aged 16–30, bringing together inspiring voices from women who are leading, campaigning and creating change. Other stallholders at the event included Glasgow Girls Club, Aila, Women in Law and SAY Women, all of whom contribute valuable work to support women and girls across Scotland.

Throughout the day, we made valuable connections with individuals and groups who share our passion for improving awareness, understanding and support for women and girls. We look forward to building on these connections and exploring opportunities to collaborate, helping to ensure that women and girls with bleeding disorders receive the recognition, support and care they deserve.

It was a truly inspiring and insightful day, filled with meaningful conversations, new connections and opportunities to work together to make a difference.
