Female Factors Conference on 6th June

Our Female Factors Conference took place on Saturday 6th June, bringing together women and girls in Scotland affected by a bleeding disorder for a day of connection, conversation and shared experience. From the outset, there was a real sense of openness and community, with people coming together to talk, listen and support one another.

We were delighted to welcome our guest speakers: Dr Laura Knox, Kat Peddie from EndoSOS and Kate Little from The Haemophilia Society, who each brought valuable insight and perspective. Their contributions helped spark thoughtful discussion throughout the day and encouraged many attendees to reflect on their own experiences and the wider challenges facing women in the bleeding disorders community.

Across the programme, there was a strong feeling of people learning from one another, finding common ground and identifying areas where change is needed. It was clear how important it is to create spaces like this, where women can speak openly and feel heard.

We are incredibly grateful to the Women’s Fund for Scotland for making this event possible through their support. And of course, thank you to everyone who attended and contributed. Your voices and experiences are at the heart of everything we do.

We look forward to building on the momentum from the day and continuing to create opportunities for women and girls affected by a bleeding disorder to connect, learn and shape the future of our work together.

A huge thank you to our guest speakers: (L-R: Dr Laura Knox, Kate Little from The Haemophilia Society, Kat Peddie from EndoSOS.)
