Mark Morris has just completed his 2026 Marathon Challenge, running Manchester in 3:18 and Edinburgh in 3:37 to raise awareness and funds for Scotland’s bleeding disorders community. It was a tough double of races, and his commitment, from training miles to race day grit, helped put a spotlight on the issues people with bleeding disorders face while raising valuable support for Haemophilia Scotland.
Across both events Mark’s determination translated into real impact: his fundraiser raised £5,200 plus Gift Aid, money that will go straight towards the services, information and advocacy that make a difference to people and families living with bleeding disorders in Scotland. That figure is more than a number, it represents practical help, reassurance and resources for people who need them.
Of course, no challenge like this happens in isolation. We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who played a part: the friends and family who ran training miles and offered moral support, the crowds who cheered on the route and lifted Mark’s spirits, and everyone who donated or shared his fundraiser. Your encouragement, your messages, your donations and your presence all added up. They turned a personal challenge into a shared achievement that will have a lasting impact for people living with bleeding disorders across Scotland.
We’re so proud of Mark! Not just for the times on the clock, but for the compassion and commitment behind them. And we’re deeply grateful to the community that rallied around him. Achievements like this remind us that when people come together for a cause, they create momentum that carries far beyond the finish line. Thank you, Mark, and thank you to everyone who supported him every step of the way.
