Our 2026 Members’ Day and AGM took place on Saturday 29th August at The Studio in Glasgow, bringing together members, trustees, staff, and supporters for a full day of connection, discussion and learning.
The morning began with a warm welcome over coffee, giving everyone time to catch up and meet new faces. The AGM followed, where members received updates on our work over the past year, including the Annual Report and Treasurer’s Report, and we approved the proposed amendments to the Constitution. Trustee elections were also held, with nominees offering their time and expertise to strengthen the charity’s governance. We thanked retiring trustees, Joanne Kirkham and Gregor McInnes for their time and dedication on the board, and welcomed new trustees Ross Laird, Julie Bisset, Angus Walls, George Walker and Craig Strachan to the board. After the formal business concluded, the day continued with a varied programme shaped by lived experience and professional insight. Dr Susan McNeill, Consultant Haematologist, delivered a keynote address on current treatments and future treatments, and members heard updates on current and upcoming Haemophilia Scotland projects. Group discussions offered space for people to share their thoughts and experiences, and physiotherapist Sean Lloyd led an education session focused on our virtual physio project.
The event once again highlighted the importance of our Members’ Day as a space for people to come together, shape our direction, and support one another. We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended, contributed, asked questions, and shared their perspectives. Your involvement ensures our work continues to be guided by the needs and voices of the community. We look forward to welcoming you again next year!
