Celebrating International Women’s Day 2024!
Today, on International Women’s Day, Haemophilia Scotland stands proud in honoring the incredible contributions, resilience, and strength of women around the world. This year’s theme, #InspireInclusion, reminds us of the importance of fostering diversity, equity, and inclusivity in every aspect of society.
As an organisation dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by bleeding disorders, we recognise the invaluable role that women play within our community. Whether as advocates, caregivers, or individuals living with bleeding disorders themselves, women continue to inspire us with their courage and determination.
On this special day, let us celebrate the achievements of women everywhere and commit ourselves to creating a world where everyone, regardless of gender, race, or background, feels valued, respected, and included. Together, we can inspire inclusion, break down barriers, and empower women to thrive.
This year, we are thrilled to announce that we have been made a Grant Partner with Women’s Fund for Scotland. The Women’s Fund believe that “women are stronger together” and provides grassroots funding to projects run by and for women. Female Factors: A Conference for Women affected by a Bleeding Disorder, is funded by Women’s Fund for Scotland. If you are a woman affected by a bleeding disorder (you could be a patient, parent, carer, carrier, grandmother, auntie, daughter, sister etc), why not join other women from our bleeding disorders community for a day where you can connect, learn and build a support network with one another. It’s free to attend and there will be a mobile creche available. Find out more and register below:
